Plan Of Salvation

The most important question someone one can ask us is: are you saved? What exactly does being saved mean? Being saved means that you no longer have to face eternal life in hell, “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23). Christ paid the price for each and every one of us on the cross at Calvary, so that our sins may be forgiven and we may have eternal life with Him in heaven: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). Being saved can really be hard for some people because they do not even know that they are lost. It’s like trying to save someone from drowning when they think they’re swimming, they’re probably going to get pretty mad. The Bible clearly teaches that we are all sinners: “For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). Therefore we all must ask for forgiveness and repent. Jesus told us: “There is rejoicing in the presence of the angles of God over one sinner who repents”(Luke 15:10) so I can say with confidence that God wants us to repent. Repentance is not just saying that you are sorry, it means so much more than that. When someone repents they turn 180 degrees from the very sin that they have been committing in order that they may be forgiven of their sins. In Matthew 4:17 we read the very first issue Jesus Christ began preaching on – repentance: “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.” I hope that after you have read this small intro to becoming a Christian you will clearly see that we are all sinners and that we all are headed for eternal destruction in hell if we don’t turn our life over to our Lord Jesus Christ. God made this so easy to understand that a child could receive eternal life with Him, so don’t wait any longer if you feel that the Lord is calling you to receive His FREE gift of salvation. “For it is by Grace you have been saved through faith and this not from yourselves, it is a GIFT of God – not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9) (emphasis added). Take this free gift of salvation that God has given you through the blood of Christ and come as you are. Pray this prayer and mean it in your heart and God will surely accept you for who you are, there is no sin that is too big to be washed away. Simply believe in Him as the one who bore your sins, died in your place, was buried, and whom God resurrected. (Matthew 28)

“Dear Father in Heaven I come to you with open arms admitting that I am a sinner. I ask that you forgive me for all the sins that I have committed against You. I know that through the shed blood of Jesus Christ my sins have been washed away. Take control of my life and guide me in the direction that most glorifies You and Your will. I know that because of Jesus’ death on the cross and resurrection on the third day I can be assured that I will receive everlasting life with you. Thank you Jesus for such a gift at such a price. Amen.”
